  Store usually has dirty floors and narrow isles, very busy location with downtown folk. Usual Loblaws chain, lots to pick from, there are usually stockers working in the store that can help you find things. Farmilar hangout for homeless people looking for spare change and or just staying indoors to get warmed up. Location has connecting small mall and office tower, TD bank.

  For a downtown grocer this place had everything I needed. Larger than you'd expect and carrying President's Choice brands. Very nice prepared salads if your visiting and need something quick, cheap, healthy, and tasty.

  Glen's (not) Independent might be considered the best grocery in this part of town, but only because it's the only grocery. The shop is dirty and overcrowded, but its worst offence is the low quality of food - it seems to be stocked with the aging products from the other Loblaw's grocery on Airport Road. The staff do their best, but with better training and a little less pressure there might be fewer boxes and pallets cluttering the narrow aisles. An excellent representative of Loblaw's attitude toward their customers.

  Helpful staff. Unfortunately not as clean as the downtown store and with less selection but that's likely due to building age and size. People at the hot food area will always factor in freshness of the stock and give you extra if it's not super fresh. Very fair and reasonable.
  
  I have had a couple incidents where the expiration date was ripped off the whole chickens and the pre-made fruit salad was gone bad but I think this is the result of a few careless people.
